Have you ever had a time in your life where God had given you a vision for something, but you were unsure how to get there? Maybe right now you are at a transition in your life, and until now you have had clear direction, but now your vision is unfocused and unclear.
Well I trust that over the next few days you shall be encouraged, there was a man in the Bible, who Jesus gave vision, but the vision was unclear, but the bible says Jesus gave him a second touch. The Bible says that when Jesus gave him this second touch, his vision became clear.
Have a look at Mark 8v22-25 – The Healing of a Blind Man at Bethsaida 22They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.23He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” 24He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” (In other words he had vision, but it was not clear)
25Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.
Helen Adams Keller (June 27,1880–June 1,1968) was an American author, activist and lecturer. She was the first deaf/blind person to graduate from college. She was once asked is there anything which is worst than being blind, she wisely answered “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.”
If you’re at a point in your life where you have no vision for the future or that promise that God gave to you now seems impossible. If over the past days when we were looking at Guidance you were thinking ‘that’s great, I know God wants to guide me, but just more or less, it’s not clear’. Then I want to encourage you as we look at this second touch from God.
