Today’s  Reading: Numbers 32:1-33:39 (additional reading Psalm 64:1-10 and Proverbs 11:22)

Key Verse:  “At the Lord’s command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. This is their journey by stages:” Numbers 33:2

Often I wonder if we make enough of a big deal about celebrating, memorializing and otherwise recording when God does something remarkable in our lives. Very often I find myself sharing stories from my own life with people who tell me, ‘you really need to write these down and put them into a book’. That is really a challenge to me because I really wonder how many of these amazing things which God has done I will still remember in years to come or for that matter how many I have already forgotten.

How many stories of God’s great work in your life can you still remember to actually share? How often do you remember the amazing things that God has done in your everyday life? I honestly think that you will be astonished, and taken by surprise, by the number of providences that God has performed in your life.

Today in Numbers 33 we read that Moses wrote down their journey through the wilderness, from the very moment they left Egypt. Each one of these place names were more than just place names to the children of Israel. They where places where the had experience with God, seen miracles, experience his provision and deliverance and were corrected from doing wrong.

You see in each and every place, God was always with them, even in the hard times. It is so easy for us to let the cares of this world burden us down; it is so easy to feel that all is hopeless. Even in the trials, remember to praise and thank God for His purpose in whatever you are facing. Remember to give God all glory even in trying times. Do not let your hearts be discouraged or overwhelmed.

  • Write down some special moments that you have had with God. (Feel free to share them and bless others)
  • Reflect on a difficult time where God has worked things for good.
  • Give thanks for the ways God has blessed you today.

Father, Thank You that you are always faithful and You bless us in so many ways. Thank You that You are always good. Help us to remember Your blessings and to share them with others. In Jesus’ name, Amen
