Using David as our primary example, let me suggest four right ways in which to respond when God says “No.”

If God has given you a gifting – then really use it, practice and commit yourself to fulfill your calling in the best way. Whatever your calling, commit yourself to it.

King David found out, it is not whether the task at hand is possible. It is whether a relationship to God is possible. It is not whether you succeed at getting something done; it is whether you succeed in connecting with the Father.
