“I am.” You may have lost everything, even who you are, but I am. I am here. I am what’s happening. I am with you. I am your saviour.”
This word wait does not imply a passive hope-so attitude. But rather it implies an intensive focus on the Lord — an anticipation of His presence and His blessings. It is above all an excitement about Him!
Very few of us are given the opportunity that Hezekiah receives to set his life straight before dying. What would you do if you were faced with this news? How would you put your house in order?
If God had not intended us to flourish, would He have said, when we were first made, “That’s good, very good”? If God hadn’t wanted us to be free and full of joy, would Jesus have announced that He had come that we might have life and have it more abundantly? God intends for us to flourish in Him.
God is always faithful to His people when they call on Him for help, He will answer. Though as His people we experience difficulties, eventually God will always amazingly bless us.
