Many are looking to church, to the baptistery, communion, confirmation, a saint, their morality, sincerity or charity to save them but only Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). We need to fix our eyes upon Him.
We need to understand that God is far more interested in our future than He is in our past. Some people think that God is stuck on their past
“I am.” You may have lost everything, even who you are, but I am. I am here. I am what’s happening. I am with you. I am your saviour.”
This word wait does not imply a passive hope-so attitude. But rather it implies an intensive focus on the Lord — an anticipation of His presence and His blessings. It is above all an excitement about Him!
