Sunday 30th January 2011
This morning we went to the New Hope for 9:15am to join the sunday schools. The Sunday school at New Hope is for all ages from kids to seniors. I attended the special kids meeting which happens once every 5 weeks called ‘high 5’. This is when grade 1-5 all join together for a worship time.
There was a really nice mix of worship songs, short stories, games (do you have and are you ready), and also a clown performance.
After the kids church I attended the main service where Pastor Rhys preached about ‘Truth and Grace’. This was followed by a meal for the Welsh pastors before they left.
I left the meal early because I went to join a choir from another church ‘Methodist church of Peach-tree city’ who visit a care home once a month to sing with the residence. Deano was also there folding balloons for them. It was really great to see how the residence got involved with both the singing and the joy they had when given a balloon. It was especially great to see one man when Deano gave him a balloon airplane.
