We are looking at How the Holy Spirit empowers us.

The first way we will look at is:

HE EMPOWERS US TO SHARE CHRIST BOLDLY.
4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

The Holy Spirit wants to give you the power to share Christ boldly. Look at the words of Paul above in , 1 Corinthians 2, verses 4 and 5; he said this, “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, (I am not the best speaker around) but, my message came with the demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but instead on God’s power.” He said, I am not the most eloquent speaker around, but when you saw me show up, the power of the Holy Spirit was there.

That is the power of the Holy Spirit that enables us to communicate the message of Christ in a life-transforming way.

We must take the message of Christ to our streets and allow the Holy Spirit to have hands, feet, and a voice in this world. The Holy Spirit wants to use you to share the Good News

How many of you want to launch out deeper and learn how to be bold and share the word with someone?

We must learn how to be led by the Holy Spirit. Our witness will be more effective if we are led by Him. Only the Lord knows the heart of man. The Lord will arrange that perfect opportunity to share with that one lost person. Being led by the Holy Spirit brings wonderful joy. I am always excited every time someone gives their life to Christ.

The Street University tell this story:

Led to an Alley Over 30 Miles Away

One enjoyable weekend that I will never forget is a Saturday afternoon that the Holy Spirit led me to an alley in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, nearly thirty miles from where I live. As I went into the alley, a young man was walking toward me. I told him, “The Lord heard your prayer this morning and I am here to speak to you.” The convicting power of the Holy Spirit began to touch him as he heard the Word of God and was saved in the alley where the Lord had led me. Yes, it is so rewarding to follow the leading of the Lord. Many search for miracles and revival and miss the most powerful acts of the Holy Spirit in the very streets where they live. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and allow yourself to be a servant for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Let’s follow the prompting of the Spirit. You may say, “But I don’t know what to say.” But when you obey, just watch what happens. You will be in the middle of a place and the Holy Spirit will give you the words to say! You may come to a point where you are just like, “Do you mind if I pray for you?” And you are like going, “Oh no! I’m no good at prayers! And the next thing you know, you are praying and all of a sudden this prayer comes out of nowhere and you’ve got faith for it.

That is the Holy Spirit coming upon you, a regular person, in power to give you the power to share Christ boldly! You can access that very same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead, he is available to you, and he will come upon you in power when you trust him. Number one: he will give you power to share Christ boldly.
