Official opening of Foodbank

Today the Foodbank project was offically opened by the Mayor of Merthyr Tydfil Paul Brown at Gurnos Christian Centre. Foodbanks provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK and last year in the UK fed over 60,000 people.

Asda collection for Foodbank

As the foodbank project starts in Merthyr and Cynon – Asda store Merthyr were very kind to allow a collection to take place outside the store. Customer were given shopping lists as they entered the store and many bought items to put in the trolley after they had completed their shopping.

Paer Marche Turtles

M18 Show

Today was the M18 show in Gurnos – the show featured really life issues such as love, fakeness, anger and hopelessness using dancing. 3G’s also brought along two dance groups and the ‘tempo choir’. The event was really great with stand room only. (we had 120 chairs out in the hall).
